Why is Animal Farm important?

Animal Farm is important because it represents what happened in the past, each animal represents a person in real life. Animal Farm shows that if you are being treated badly or unfairly you can revolt. In chapter 1 Old Major gave a speech that they will overthrow the power because they are treated unfairly. The animals are over worked and under fed. Old Major was very persuasive all the animals even the rats although, the dogs and cat were against the rats being part of the team they decided to join in on overthrowing Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones was a drunk and the master of all the animals he worked them as much as they could and fed them as little as he possibly could without starving and killing them. Old Major died in his sleep not long after he gave that speech. None of the animals knew how to plan the revolt so they turned to the pigs who are known for being smart. Now it was up to the young pigs and the other animals to overthrow Mr. Jones.
